Mrs. Vera ShaffstallMrs. Vera B. Shaffstall, 82, a former resident of 11 N. James St., died at 1:15 p.m. Saturday in the Grandview Health Care Center.She was bom in Cullery Junction, Butler County, on Sept. 13, 1899, a daughter of John and Ella Bradley Dingman.She had resided in the Franklin area since the age of six, and was a 1918 graduate of Rocky Grove High School.In June of 1921 she married Wallace Shaffstall, who died in1957.Mrs. Shaffstall was a member of the Rocky Grove Avenue United Presbyterian Church, and of the Philathea Class of the church. She was also a mamber of the Women of the Moose and the Franklin Eagles Auxiliary. For a time she was employed at Mrs. Baggot’s coffee shop, and also was a pastry cook at the Business Women’s Club.Surviving are two children, Lyle M. Shaffstall of Akron, Ohio, and Leah M. Shaffstall at home; and two grandchildren, John W. andJeffery L. Sh ^tall.She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and a brother, Guy B. Dingman.The Robert W. Gardinier Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Funeral services will be held there at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, with the Rev. Kenneth Bausman, pastor of the Rocky Grove Avenue United Presbyterian Church, officiating. Interment will be in Franklin Cemetery.The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today.
