Unkrich, Fairfield, was one of the six persons who attended that first meeting and was a charter member of the organization. Georgt Unkrich was long associated with band music in Fairfield and for many years directed musical organizations in the community.From that group of six men atthe original meeting, the Iowa Bandmasters association has grown ! to be the largest such association in the worldDillon Lowell, band director atthe Fairfield high school and commanding officer and director of the 34th Division Band in Fairfield, is president of the organization.
