Freed Officer On 30-Day LeaveEld red, May. 22. Sgt D. D. Feheiey, who was liberated from a German prison camp on April 2. is spending a 30-day furlougli with his wife and daughter and his parents, Mr. and Mrs. W. J. Feheiey.Sgt, Feheiey was liberated by the Uth Armored Division of the Third Army and was evacuated to Parts mid then sent to the States. He arrived in New York on May 1, and was sent to the Walter Reed General hospital in Washington.At the time he was shot down over Vienna, Austria. 8gt. Feheiey was a radio operator mechanic on u B-24. Liberator. As a result of the crash his legs were amputated by German doctors.Following his furlough he will report to Walter Reed hospital where he will undergo surgery
