WILL SOON LEAVE FRANCE1According to a letter received in Wilmington, the 59th Pioneers will leave Brest within a week and will be back by the first week in June.Eugene J. Shields, a member of the supply company of the 59th Pioneers, ha? written a letter dated April 29, to hi9 brother, Daniel F, Shields, of Wilmington, stating that his organization ha9 turned in all their horses and equipment and that he believes the 59th Pioneers will sail from Brest on May 20.In previous letters Shield wrote his brother that he would write nothing about returning to this country until he had definite information to that effect.According to this information, residents of this State who expect to welcome the home coming Pioneers on their return will have to get busy. It is expected that further definite information about the return will be made by the authorities in Washington.Mrs. J. Warner Reed, wife of Colonel Reed, who is in command of the Pioneers, said the last letter received from her husband was dated April 21, and in this letter, her husband wrote that the Regiment was cleaning up and was ex-pecting to get word at any titne to ' move towards home. He said that all their movements indicated that they would embark in a short time for home.! 1]
