•/ ------. Y. Thaxton, a 76-year-oltl citizen of the Jenkinsburg district of Butts county, has a remarkable record as a court official. He was elected bailiff when he was 19 years of age, and with the exception of the four years which lie served in the confederate army, he has been a bailiff ever since, who can beat that? Mr. Thaxton when he went to thewar was the oldest man in his regiment.
