We presume thegood people of Petroleum Centre read the itemwith feelings, of as much astonishment as ifthe event related- actually occurred:- We state upon what we consider reliable authority, that a woman living in Klk Creek township, Erie county, this Btate, recently, pare birth to the most distressingly singular phenomena we can recollect to hate heard of. The offspring—twins—is a strange formal ion of reptile ardjhe homcgene. The lowep extremities, from the hips, are perfect, as are those of children' in geoerh while the head aod body partake largely of the reptile. £t last accounts these creatures were alive, but it . is said presented such an offensive appearance as to fairly* convulse those who have seen them. They are nourished with milk, which they receive from a cap.
