There isnothing ve can say or do that will bring him back or that will be of any benefit to him now that he is gone. However, a few words of tribute and appreciation are in order. Doubtless there are many here who could cite admirable qualities and characteristics of Shepard, but this bit of recognition and vour own words of trib-«ute to each other will serve to help us realize that aJ) the good that we do is making an impression on others, though they never express any appreciation while we live. We should also ho reminded that bouquets, whether of flowers or words, are of more value to anyone while he is living than after death.“Shepard was a good soldier in the Battalion Supply Section whose faithfulness, dependability, honesty and clean living were appreciated especially by Captain Faircloth, the Bn.
