Crown Point Military Company.Crown Point bat now a military company fully organized under the laws of the State. Adjutant General Janies R. Carnahan, of Indianapolis, mustered the company in on Wednesday evening of last week. Tfte election of officers was spirited, and for the office of Captain, hotly contested. The first ballot Harry Hew-gill got 22, Chas. Griffin 20, John J. Wheeler 3. The second ballot Wheeler’s name was dropped, and Griffin and Hewgill each received 23 votes. The third ballot resulted the same The fourth ballot gave Griffinlt;insaft1las]way24 votes and Hewgill 23; electing Griffin by one majority. Harry Hew-giii was elected first Lieut, by acclamation, and JN J. Monthly drills will be held on the last Saturday of eachmonth.General Carnahan expressed himself highly pleased with the appar-ance and action of the young men composing the company, which is designated as Company K Third Regiment.
