This huge, transparent board became illuminated for the first time at special ceremonies held at the Wilmington Nike Base Wednesday, Feb ruary 24, 1960—when Col. Charles R. Arvin, commander, pressed the activation switch. It was a part of the complicated installation made by General Telephone Co. Also, on Armed Forces Day, the Clinton County Air Force Base will hold Open House. Take advantage of the opportunity to visit it, too.
