Jackson was discharged in February as a captain. In. March, he took an examination at Fort Leavenworth for a regular army commission, and last week decided he would rather await the results ofthe examination af a soldier in the army than as a civilian. He enlisted in the finance department.The Sarcoxie men enlisted in Joplin last Saturday, and went to Camp Crowder to take physical examinations. Then they were returned to Sarcoxie in the special bus shown in the picture to take part In' graduating ceremonies at the high school Tuesday night Wednesday, they were returned in the bus to Camp Crowder, and de~ parter for Fort Leavenworth yesterday.The newly-enlisted members of the army wfll be sworn into the service at Fort Leavenworth* after which they will receive assignments in the. various branches of the service which they have chosen.
