-Chief Petty Officer Harry B. Fink, Jr., son of Harry B. Fink, Sr., 913 East Tipton street, Seymour, will retire from 22 years of service in the U. S. Navy on July 12.Harry B. Fink, Jr.“What advice could 1 give a young man coming into the U. S. Navy today?”Fink said, “The Navy took me out of a small town in Indiana—exposed me to 14 countries in Europe, seven countries in the Far East, and gave me an education on life and people that is unsurpassable. It has given me a living and a multitude of friends and acquaintances. What more can a man ask?“To the young man, 1 will say, you have to be here for a while so make the best of that time. If you feel you want to stay, take advantage of the many, many educational possibilities offered and back up your Navy; don’t kick it because some things don’t happen to suit you.”Fink and his wife, Melba, reside at 4175 5th avenue, San Diego, Calif. He is presently serving in the submarine service at San Diego.
