ConventionWill Open Here on MondayIesi-igs.rryR.mt,r.betoon-F.E.oftyPlans for the forty-third annual convention of the , Missouri Federation of Labor, to be held here Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, were being completed today by Frank Murphy, secretary-treasurer of the state organization.Murphy said. tha/t credentials have been received from 305 delegates, with additional late registrations expected. Both morning and afternoon sessions will be. held on each of the three days.Activities will begin at 2 o’clock tomorrow afternoon with a meeting of the credentials committee, but the convention proper will not open until 10 iOvcloek Monday morning.A list of 11 guest speakers was announced by Murphy, but definite assignments on the: program have not been made. .He explained that most of the convention business will be presentation of resolutions arid committee reports, and that the speakers would be heard whenever time permits.The convention will^concludeBY ELECTRICALWORKERS' UNIONA semiannual conference of the Missouri State Electrical Workers’ Union was held at the Keystone4 • •hotel this morning.► ■ •About SO delegates were present9to discuss industrial problems andWednesday afternoon with election of officers. Wood of Springfield, president of the federation for the last 28 years, will preside at the meetings. It was reported today that he would meet with opposition, in the race for re-election. Because his duties as representative in congress require so much of his time, he does not accept the $2,400 annual salary which the presidency offers.Speakers announced by Murphy were: -Ray C.
