m ►-BRUCE RECEIVES MILITARYAWARD OF PURPLE HEARTMerwyn Bruce of Fort Dodge received the Order of the Purple Heart Wednesday of last week for gallantry in action. He was wounded and gassed at Chateau Thierry, France, in July, 1918. Merwyn is a son of the late Geo. W. Bruce and connected with the Bruce family in Rolfe. He served overseas with the Rainbow Division during the war. It is taking the French a long time to place these awards, but give them time enough and they will get it all done properly.
