HOW HE DIED./Account of the Death of Lieutenant Euan Lucie Smith.LIEUT. MILLER’S STORY.The friends of Lieut. Euan Lucie-Smith, Royal Warwickshire Regiment may bo interested in knowing that his family have at last had authhntic news of his death* which hlle been told them by a brother officer, Lieut. Miller, of the same regiment.1•%Mr. Miller was one of the five officers out of 1? who got back after the engagement in which Mr. Lucie-Smith was killed.The facta related by Mr. Miller are as follows:— On the night of April, 25tli, 1JM5, the RoyaJ Warwickshire Regiment was sent out of rest to retake and hold part of the line lopt by the Canadians after the ftret gas attack. They set off in the dark to ‘attack a position, which they were told was held by the Germans. Captain Walker, Mr. Luclo-Smfth’s company commander, was hit and fell, whereupon Mr. Lucle-Smith got up from where he was lying and ran across to him, knelt down and began tying up bis wound* and trying to help him.
