Trenches “Great Stuff ' For BoysGrafton, N. D., May 15.—Twenty-four days in the trenches proved great stuff” for the members of Co. C, First North Dakota, according to a letter received here from- Captain J. G. Ofstedahl. l*4th U. S. Inf., formerly the First North Dakota. The company was split Up In France.”1 have Just seen 40 of my old men who had just come out of the trenches after a siege of 24 days in the front line, and 1 have never seen a single one of them that .was not in much better condition than I ever eaw him before.” says Captain Ofstedahl. ”It was a real surprise to me. and those with me. The climate is agreeable, and we are all well taken care of in our army.”
