FreedomElder Bryce Erickson Returned From Mission Field Last WeekIDA HOKANSON • CorrespondentBryce Erickson, son of Mr. and Mrs. C. C» Erickson, returned from the Central AtlanticStates Mission. Bryce’s parentsmet him in Salt Lake City on Thursday of last week. A large crowd attended church Sunday night to hear Elder Erickson report his mission. Pat Erickson played a violin solo accompanied by Reba Luthi and Shirley Lou Davis and daughter Shauna played a piano duet.Mrs. O L. (Louie) Sanderson injured her kneecap on Friday of last week when she acident-ally fell on it as she was returning home from work. The injury cracked her kneecap which had to be wired together. She will be in a cast from six weeks to two months.Mrs Veloy Izatt accompanied her mother, Mrs. Vera Hem-mert, to Montpelier one day last week.Nena Luthi, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Dick Luthi, was baptized a member of the LDS Church by her grandfather, Delos Sanderson. Nena was also confirmed by her grandfather Sanderson.Valerie Brog, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Brog, and Lu-Ann Jenkins, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Farrell Jenkins, won first and second prizes in a poster contest on safety. This contest was for all of LincolnCounty.Mrs. Stew-art Butters and family from Linrose, Idaho were Sunday visitors at the home of Mrs. Lula Jenkins.Mr. and Mrs. Jesse Draney left last week to visit their family and friends in the Logan area. Mr. and Mrs. Arden Draney, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Campbell and Mr. and Mrs. LaVor Hoff are living in that area.Mrs. Cal Stewart and Mrs. Darrell Jenkins went to Salt Lake City last week to visit Mrs. Stewart’s mother who is ill.Mrs. Earl Haderlie received a phone call Sunday from Mr. and Mrs. Darrell Haderlie at Salt Lake City wishing her a Happy Mother’s Day.Students home from college for the weekend were JanetSunday dinner guests at the home of Mr. and Mrs Art Mc-Wherter wrnre Mrs Ida Robinson, Mr. and Mrs. Roy Robinson and family, and Mr. and Mrs. Elmo Robinson and family-Mr. and Mrs. Roy Robinson went to Logan over the weekend to attend the USU Mother’s Dav. Also thev visited Mr.w *rand Mrs. Perry Robinson atLogan.Vern Child has returned from his work in Laramie to help his father, A D’Orr Child, on thefarm.Mrs. Jean Luthi received wrord from her son. Cordell, that he has accepted the position as head coach at the Cokeville High School for the coming year. Cordell graduates from USU in June.Mrs Ron Jensen from California is visiting at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas RaineyJr.Mrs. P. E Jenkins celebrated her birthday and Mother’s Day by talking long distance to her family, Mr. and Mrs. Sander Anderson at Draper, Utah, Mr. and Mrs. Leo Petersen at Sandy, Utah; Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Izatt at Crescent, Utah; Mr. and Mrs. LaVere Jenkins at Seattle, Wash.; and Sheldon Izatt in Washington. Mr. and Mrs. Theras Jenkins and family and Mr. and Mrs. Keith Jenkins and son spent the day with their mother and grandmother. Other visitors were Carl Haderlie and Oliver Haderlie from Thayne, and Mrs. Wanda Call and son Curt from Afton.MIA young marrieds class lesson type meeting was held at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Spencer Erickson. After the lessonrefreshments were served.Seniors who went on the “Senior Eneak” over the weekend were Nick Robinson, Kirk Brower, Trudy Brower, Lyn Croft, Pam Jenkins and PattyPerry.Mr. and Mrs. Alvin Erickson were visited over the weekend by their daughter, Peggy Helm, and husband.
