‘'Battle' At StadiumParade9 Open HouseMark•med Forces Day*(Photo on Pago 5)Completion of plans for observance of Armed Forces Day Saturday were announced today.A parade of armed forces in thePortsmouth community will be followed by an open house at the Navy and Marine Reserve Training Center starting at 2 p.m. and a demonstration of an attack ona fortified position by a reinforced Marine rifle squad in Municipal Stadium at 3 p.m. This final event will include use of rifles, rockets and a flame thrower.Armed Forces Day project officer for the city is Maj. ErnestSchumacher, military advisor for the Ohio National Guard, assisted by Cmdr H. W. Stauffacher ofthe U. S. Naval and Marine Reserve Training Center, and Maj. Louis Frazier Jr., inspector-in* structor of the Marine Corps Reserve.will be made by the Army. Navy, Marines and the Ohio National Guard units.In addition the Marines will have on exhibit uniforms used by the Marines in the years 1775, 1812 and1847.M-• *4The parade is to be at 10 a.m. and the line of march will be south1on Chillicothe St. from Tracy Park and west on Third St. to Market’iSt. esplanade.Marching units are to embrace 3rd Battalion, 166th Infantry, National Guard; Harry Dyamond Post, American Legion, drum and bugle corps; composite group of Army Reserve; Portsmouth High School band; 75th Infantry Com-11ipany of the U.
