Hummon, M.D., now resident at 3318 South Oak Park avenue, Berwyn.The sale was negotiated by Charles B. Ford of the McAllister Realty Corporation, at a price not yet disclosed.Simpson Dunlop, distinguished pioneer and one of the founders of Oak Park Trust and Savings bank,built the house now 417 NorthKenilworth. His brother built thehouse just south of it and now occupied by George Whiting and family. In 1906 F. C. Caldwell bought the place and lived there until his death. In his later years he was president of Oak Park Trust and Savings bank.The house is in the grand manner of the Victorian period with grounds fronting 173 feet in Kenilworth and a depth of 300 feet. The garden and house have always been well cared for and its structure was framed to endure. Dr. Hummon expects to occupy the house in the near future.
