A veteran of 18 nonths service overseas, Cpl. Tan-:redi was wounded at Anzio on Sept. 13, 1944, He returned to duty with iiis company and. was transferred :o France and during the fighting dicre he contracted trench foot and Kras invalided back to the States. 2pl. Tancredl wears the Purple Heart, a Presidential Citation, the Silver Star, the Infantryman’s Combat Pin, Good Behavior Medal and ;he European theatre ribbon with lve campaign stars.
