Make Plans i For Poppy Day Here May 27Poppy Day will be observe! throughout thf* United States on Saturday, May 27. with the wearing of memorial poppies in honor of the World War dead, Gertrude M Kennedy, President of the NewtonUnit of the American Legion Auviliary, announced today. The oh gervance wil he led by the Auxiliary women who will distribute poppi* s on the streets during the day.More than eleven million of tin-little r**d memorial flowers havebeen made by disabled World War veterans working In government j hospitals and in poppy workrooms'' maintained by the Auxiliary, saidMiss Kennedy.
