Wofford,Dear Father Mother and All:Wi)l write you a few lines, we land-■Ned this morning., Fpfi feeling fine, had a nice trip back, sure was glad to get back. We were on the water about 12 days, only had two days of rough weather. It seemed to me as though we had the slowest steamer on the ocean.I can hardly realize that I am back.I am, sending yoti a message.-Sure was lots of people to .meei^us, lots of people from Kansas there. Pai't of the 42nd Division were with us.We pulled into docks about sunrise, people came out in tug boats to meet us. This will be one day that I will never forget, you don’t have and idea how a fellow feels. *We won’t be here long, don’t know where we will go but think we will go to Camp Pike. I think I’ll be home in two weeks.Gee it sure is raining, it rained on us all the way to camp, we had to hikeopt* here, its 6 or 7 miles. Never got* s ,any dinner until-3 o’clock. I drank9 Vthe first bottle of Coco-Colo this evening since I left New York,Well* I have got fat since I left, I .weigh 165 pounds.
