MEN IN SERVICEA former Big Spring man has been selected for aviation cadet training as a navigator, M. Sgt W. K. Bailey, recruiters, has been advised.He is Jimmie I) Stelling, formerly of 1013 Wood, who is the son of Mrs Myrtle H Andrews ofClovis, N. M.Stelling enlisted in Air Force here on March II. He was appointed to Class 5907 N while undergoing basic training He willenter preflight classes on May 12 for three months training in such subjects as aviation science, intelligence. air force history and tradition. organization, administration, personal affairs, militarylaw, customs and courtesies, field leadership and physical training.Later he will go to air forceprimary-basic navigator schoolsfor 30 weeks on graduation he will receive navigator rating, and a commission as a second lieutenant.
