ONE HONORED MEN CALLED INTO ARMYLargest Contingent of Drafted Men to Be Sent From Portage County This MonthThe largest contingent of drafted men Portage county has sent to camp at any one time since the selective service law was passed is to entrain at Stevens Point some time during tho five-day period beginning on May 24 for transportation to Camp Grant, III. There will be 100 in the group.The call was announced officially on Friday through the office of Governor E. L. Philipp. The gross quota for the state under this call is 25,339. The state gets credit for 9,275 army enlistments and further credits under recent calls in the second draft totalling 6,025. The net quota is therefore 10,007.
