The Combined Chapters, I.O.D.E.,Drumheller, Alta.Dear Friends:The receipt of news alone from ‘‘our city is very greatly appreciated on board, but to receive Christmas parcels at this most opportune time was really swell. Please accept our most sincere thanks and appreciation for your thoughtfulness.Having never travelled in your West the name “Drumheller” meant little to us when first drafted, on board; however, in the many months since the ship's commission, wc have found that name is something to look up to and be proud of, .especially since we have become Canada's senior corvette. Every member of the crew is doing his utmost to uphold the name and make its reputation famous. We have all found a friend and good coxswain in your Don McAskill. He is loud in his praise of the “home” town and its people and all his claims are easily understood. With thanks again and the hope of hearing from you once in a while, we of the signal branch say “so long.”Sincerely, |Sig. E. C. Moore, Slg^grank Collins, SigTEv. Cressey.
