Pettit, raised in Alpine, and heis a member of Class 44F which arrived at the Big Bend's flying school a couple of weeks back for his advanced training. He was in Alpine last week-end visiting old friends.After leaving Alpine Harold attended John Tarleton at Ste-phenville, and later attended Texas A. A M , for 18 months lefore going into the army His older brother, Edward, is a captain in the army engineers, stationed in England.Mr. and Mrs. Pettit and littledaughter, Mary Jane, are living in South America, where he is employed by an oil company.
