Cartv, G. E. Curtis, W. H. Davis, Tom Freeman, Alva \ J. Hadden. W. H. Lucas, first lieut; j E. P. Lacey, Elam Orr, Uriah Robertson, John D. Robertson, William Pyles, second lieut.; G. R. Stivers, Otto South, William M. Wilson, Janies H. Willis. These were members of Company L, First regiment except R. L. Bailey, who was a member of Company A. of Vincennes, and • P. E. Chaney, who belonged to the' Washington D. C. Cadets. A. B. jThurber was first lieutenant of the company but he now resides outside; the corporation. George T. Briggs deceased was captain of the eom-oany. This company after serving five years, was mustered out in 1S92.. Included in the first regiment were j companies at Sullivan, Bloomington, Bedford, Spencer, Vincennes, Mt. Vernon, Evansville, Washington, j Seymour, and New Albany.
