ateiy no one was seriously injured. In a private letter addressed to Marshal Berhalter, written by Barney Kollniau of this city, who enlisted in the Waterloo company last Monday and who is-now in Camp Mount, Indianapolis, lie says “We left Waterloo Tuesday at 10:30 a. ni. and arrived here about S p. in. There were large crowds at every town which wc passed. At BlufTton we saw Leslie Marcy and Bert Wilson. We were delayed about one and a half hours at Muncie. John Ilowe is in Co. G, 3d Regt: ours is Co. I, of the same regiment. John Foster is here with the First regiment band. We would have starved if the people of Waterloo had not sent lunch enough along for two meals, for there was not a thing ready here. The first two days we had easy times but now only have to drill about six hours a day. We have company drill from 7 toS o’clock; Battalion drill from 9:30 to 11 o’clock; Regimental drill from 2:45 to 4:15, and dress parade at 5:40 o’clock, but this is not much. I enclose a piece of hard-tack for TUurlow, which I accidentally (?) got hold of.. Regards to all.—Kendallville Dally Son.. •
