The following sum ;mavy of his life is interesting.—A. F. Enq.Nathaniel Woodhull was born in 1722,and spent his youth with his father, whowas an opulent farmer at MaStic ill Brook-haven, and his education was such as wascalculated to lit him for the duties of active life.His first public employment- was in a military capacity in the war between Great Britain and France, which commenced in 1754, and terminated in 1760.In 1758. Mr. Woodhull was a major inone of the New-York regiments, ambit ist a tradition o{ the family tiiat he accompa-j nied Colo'iel Bradsirect in the expedition | against fort Fronttnac; and that he assisl-! ed in the reduction of that fortress.Jn March 1760, he was promoted to tire rank of Colonel, and commanded the third • regiment of Nuw-York troops' in me expedition against Canada.The bravery, prudence and patriotism, of Col.
