: ‘ . TEXAS.The Louisville Journal contains an old story about the surrender of Col, I'annin and his troops tothe Mexican forces with the assurance of being permitted to return to the U. States in safety; but thatthey were all, in accordance with the usual treacheryof the Mexicans, shot down—only one preserved tobring the tidings. The substance of this same story has been in circulation ever since the news firstarrived that Fanning had been attacked. It has been revamped over, and will we suppose pass current, until the next Steatn Boat from N. Orleans.—The reports from Texas come recently in such questionable shape, that we scarcely know what to believe or disbelieve. We shall continue therefore, tolay before our readers from time to time the reports received from that quarter presumed to be of an interesting character, and leave our readers to judge lor themselves, as to the amount of credit which should be attached to them.wwat wir.r.
