. M. Ashmun ReportedAs Missing in ActionCapt. George M. Ashmun, ’41, U S M C R, has been reported missing in action, according' to a notice received bv his mother, iVfrs. Gayle L. Youngof Far Hills, N. J.Capt. Ashmun is a member of the Marine Black Sheep fighter squadron and was flying wing-man in the formation from which Nfaj. Gregory Boyington, Marine ace pilot, disappeared in action in January.A former student at Newark Academy, Ca )t. Ashmun enlisted in the Naval Fying Cadet Corps after his graduation from Hobart. He later became a Marine pilot, and was promoted to captain last fall.
