HI., March 30.—Little Albert Casbler, the woman soldier, was taken to the state asylum for the tn-bane at Watertown, 111.She was born in Ireland 73 yean ago and came to America as a stowaway in boy's clothes. She enlisted in company G, Ninety-fifth Illinois Infantry, and was assigned to Gen. Grant’s army, participating in some of the bloodiest battles of the civil war.She later came to the soldiers* home here and her sex was discovered by a surgeon at that institution, althougha nurse knew her secret.
