^gay egg-tumus jSEEK TO PLACE LILY POOL HEREWould Be Memorial For Spanish 'War Veterans.*Representatives of the United Spanish War Veterans have requested the City Commission for permis* siort to construct a lily pool In a circle just north of the high school on the high school grounds as a memorial to Sandusky’s soldiers of the Spanish American Waar.The Commission referred the matter to the Commission as a whole for action and report Commissioners said they wish to take the matter upwith Jacob Roth, superintendent ofcity parks. Miss Justina Winkler, representing the veterans before the Commission, said that superintendent Roth had expressed his approval ofthe project to her.The memorial will take the form orthe emblem of the United Spanish War veterans. It will be a circle with a cross inside. There will be stone benches at various points in the circle. No estimate of the cost was given to the Commission.
