Sweet of Storm Lake was in Aurelia Tuesday afternoon talking up a home talent play to give for the benefit of the Aurelia band. The name of the play will be “A Country Sweetheart and will be given the first week in April. The exact date will be announced next week.Aurelia was well represented at the festivities at Cherokee Monday welcoming the return of the Company M. boys from the border. Seventy-three tickets were sold over the Illinois Central Monday afternoon. Most of them returned in the evening after viewing the parade but a few remained for the banquet in the evening. The people of Aurelia were more interested than other neighboring towns of the county hub on account of the Aurelia boys who belonged to Company M. They are Clay Dawson, Lloyd Scott, Ralph White, Harry Haight, Ed McManus and George Marcher. The Aurelia band was figuring some on going over to show their loyalty for the home boys but as th ey did not receive any encouragement upon making inquiry to the Cherok ee parties who were engineering the program, decided to give itup.
