Local Boys Join their Company At Idaho Falls Wednesday —Awaiting Orders.In response to an order from Sec. of War Baker, Governor Alexander issued the call Monday to assemble the Second Idaho Infantry, at their various headquarters awaiting further orders.The local members of Company M received word yesterday from theirCaptain, Levi Lundburg, to report at Idaho Falls, which they did, going down on last night's train.A large crowd of pariotic citizens gathered to wish the boys God speed and good luck, fully realizing the uncertainties that confront the lads,but with the knowledge that many more of our boys will gladly join them should urgent need arise.It is not knosvn to what duty the company will be assigned, as all depends on the action of congress next Monday, although even then the news of steps taken will be very brief, as the war department is taking steps to censure news regarding all movements.The local company will be recruited to full war strength and something like 75 more men are needed.Several of the local boys went down last night, but at the time of going to press we had not been advised the new members joining.
