Robert L. JamesTORREJON DE ARDOZ, Spain — Robert L. James, son of Mr. and Mrs. Lendon P. James of Vidor, Tex., has been promoted to sergeant in the U. S. Air Force.Sergeant James, a communications repairman, is at Tor-rejon AB, Spain, in a unit of the Air Force Communications Service, which provides global communications and air traffic control for the USAF.A 1966 graduate of Orange-field High School, he attended Lamar State College in Beaumont.His wife, Cathy, is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Fred E. Porter of Iola.
