Later a second clashbroke out along the street fronting the meeting place, where members ' of the Citizen’s Anti-ftazi Committee were picketing.Police Inspector William Scull said he was told the rally was intended as a celebration ot Hitler’s seizure of Austria. Wilhelm Kunze, Bund leader, who spoke after the session was resumed, asserted it was ‘'merely a stated monthly meeting.’'‘'Our principles, Kunze declared, are against atheism, for religious freedom, and against subversive internationalism.
