Marine Corps League Will Convene HereThe JflSS state convention and reunion of both the. Marine Corps League and Its auxiliary will be held in Fort Pierce May 31 and June 1, it was announced today.Shamrock Village will be Ihe site of the convention with' Holmes-Wetherington Detachment, the lo~cat unit, is .host.In charge of arrangements forthe affair is a committee composed of James Brifcher, Jr., chairman; Jack Alaughan, his first assistant,. and Richard Lu2jer, Wll-ham Morris, Charles J. Shortt, and George Anderson.It; is expected that in addition to- state and rational officials of the League, there wilt be in af. tendance a number of high-ranking Marine Corps officers.League members are expected from Key West to Pensacola, and anticipated attendance is about 400.The reunion will be started early by some members in order to observe Memorial Day prior to theactual convention.
