•* ........Arlington may get German prison ««f,Coro nuuuIet_W.X^ Staples, rtTE.rexeutive officer'of the nav-* al station at Glenview was in Arlington Heights last week consulting Mayor Goedke regarding ffee possible location of 400 German war prisoners at the Arlington naval auxiliary flying field. The officer advised the mayor that the purpose of his visit was to get the attitude of the people of Arlington Heights to such an arrangement.The men would be utilized as auxiliary labor at the Glenview base. Prisoners of war used for such a purpose are well screened and the problem individuals are not included in such projects. A wired compound about the buildings at the auxiliary base would be constructed and 60 naval guards would be provided. This would be the first use of prisoners of war by the Glenview base-Mayor Goedke informed the village board Monday evening that he had told the naval authorities that he saw no reason why Arlington would object to such an arrangement.Reader pretests/Last Saturday afternoon a number of the Cub scouts from Bensen-vilie were jumped on by several older boys while hiking between Wood Dale and Bensenville on Highway 83.
