WINS AN AWARD AS SHARPSHOOTERPvt. Richard B. Newman of Ha-wardcn shot one of the highest scores in his company on the rifle range at the Infantry Replacement Center at Fort McClellan, Ala., and was awarded the sharpshooter’s medal, it is announced by the public relations office at the camp. Pvt. Newman is a graduate of the 'Hawavden ;High school and was inducted December 3, 1943. He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Ben Newman of Ilawarden.
