Volume 72• « 4NEWMARKET HAS BAD FIRE •Odd Fellowp Building And Theater Burn •The I.O.O.F. brick building on Main street in New Market, was destroyed by fire about 1:30 o’clock Saturday morning. The lire, which is thought to have ibeen caused by defective wiring, was so far advanced when discovered that it was impossible to save either the ibuilding or its contents.The first floor was occupied by the New Market movie theatre, owned by Charles Wilson. The ^second floor was the well-equipped and furnished hall used by the Odd Fellows and the Rebek-ahs. The building belonged to the Odd Fellows. ,An adjoining buliding on the north owned by R. M. Tuttle and occupied by the Hoffman Second Hand Furniture Store, also burned.The loss is estimated at $10,000. It is partially covered by insurance.Republicans Name
