Smith, Fourthinfantry, Fort Mackenzie.Adjutant General Gatchell and Colonel La Fontaine, lnsj*ctor general of the National Guard of Wyoming, will also be present at these inspections.Colonel La Fontaine will take a thorough Inspection of ali these companies as well as all military property of the state in charge of the commanding officers.Colonel La Fontaine has also been regularly detailed as surveying officer of the organized militia of the state of Wyoming, and will at the time of his inspection of the several companies make careful survey of alt state military property and report such as he may find unserviceable or unsuitable, to be disposed of as the war department may direct, on his recommendation.The proper survey, Inspection and final disposition of this property, much of which Is out of date, obsolete and unserviceable, will be of much relief to the commissary officers charged with its care and safe keeping.General Gatchell, during this tour of inspection will also confer with company commanders, relative to the construction of permanent rifle ranges for target practice, now provided for under act of congress, approved dune 22 1806, and for the Install ^ig of tip to date targets.Requisition has been made for the new blue dress uniforms and also the cot ton khaki, which is expected to he at the supply depot, military headquarters, Cheyenne, very soon, when | the same will be issued to the companies in place of the old, out of date uniforms now in use.
