LOVE AND WARFARE.The above remarks have brought me to the consideration of a singular romantic adventure which was summarily ended the other day by the intervention of the Provost Marshal. 1 wo girls—ono sixteen years of age, and the other two years older—were discovered in the disguise of teamsters, in -which capacity, it was afterwards ascertained, both of them had served upwards of sis months. The oldest was from Cincinnati; and areliable gentleman, who says tbut he knew herfamily, Btated that the fair teamster had very respectable family relatives, and that she had been brought up under the best influences. The girl herself, who had sadly degencruted from her' earlier respectability, replied that she “didn’t cure a d—n. I went fora soldier and I am bound to be a soldier. I can drive a mule team in bully style. That’s who I am. Don’t you like me V” The erriDg soldieresses were sent ta Louisville.
