Arizona.Fighter-flier experts all, these men—who will end what began at Pearl Harbor on December 7 — were given the final stamp of military approval at the three oldest and one of the newest of the Gulf Coast advanced pilot training schools:Brooks and JCelly Fields, near San Antonio, single-engine schools which have seen service in two wars; Ellington. Field, near Houston, built on th» site of World War I, Ellington Field—incubator of twin-engined bombardment pilots; and' Foster Field, near Victoria, a pursuit pilot training school, mushroomed in oil rich Tex-as farm land, end dedicated only last month.
