Sgrt. John Puit j Is DischargedSTAFF SGT. JOHN J. PUTT, age 22, son of Mr. and Mrs. Jacob M. Putt of 1402 Wj Philadelphia street, Indiana, was given him honorable medical discharge from the U. S. Army, March 1, 1944.Sgt. Putt enlisted here Jan. 4. 2041 and was sent to Iceland Sept. 24 of the same year. From there he went to England and thence to Sicily ; where he was wounded in action ! Nov. 15, 1943. He was a member of the Medical Corp during his service overseas. He was returned, to the |U. S. in January of this year and was sent to the U. S, Army Hos-1 pital„xBverjtw,Qlt;?d, Vprvg Island.| Two other Indiana County boys have recently been reported as I wounded in action. PVT. DAVID j. MACK, son of John P. Mack of ! Viutondale, R. D. 1, was wounded lin the Pacific War Theatre .SGT. VERNON A. KUNKLE, son of Mrs. Tillie Kunkle of Creekside, was wounded while battling the Germans in the Mediterranean area.! PFC. IGNATIUS M.
