Cavalry, by the mail of Monday, with a request to publish it, and to ask the other l'ldttors of the place to copy: Gettysburg, March 7tit, 1862.On leaving Gettysburg I desire to return most grateful acknowledgment for the unremitting kindness and sympathy luanifest-I ed by its inhabitants towards our sick and suffering soldiers., The Ladies have been most faithful visitants at our Hospital, supplying each want, 1 and administering'to eveiy need. Gentle ’ bauds, prompted by warm hearts, have been found ready to respond to oft repeat* I ed calls. And, as we go forward, doing • what we may in behalf of our beloved country, we shall hold in grateful retnetu-i branee the unnumbered favors of which i we have been the recipients. ,s R. W.
