Laughlin O.K. Except lor Few Shell FragmentsFirst Lieut. John E. Laughlin, 33, who was reported wounded in action with the AEF in Africa, is “'getting along Q. K., he told his .mother, Mrs. Edward Laughlin, 712West Eleventh street, in a letter received Tuesday morning.‘T got bumped up a bit,’* he writes. A few pieces of shell fragment' in my ankle, a. little in my cheek and here and there, but nothing very serious.“I am in a British hospital getting the best of care from the Red Cross. The Red Cross is in every day, bringing us cigarets, soap and other things, and doing a wonderful job here.“I am O. K,, so don’t worry.Lieutenant Laughlin’s letter was dated Feb. 29, He was reported wounded in action Feb, 20.
