The flag at the left is the one presented by the American Legion and that at the right by Mayor and Mrs. Alexander.PUT-IN BAY,* 0., March 12.—Thenew Boy Scout troop of this LakeErie island, where the Battle ofLake Erie was fought in the warof 1812, claims a flag as a remembrance of John Brown jr., son of the famous John Brown * wht led theraid on Harper's Ferry, Oct. 26, 1859.The presentation to the scouts was made previous to the investiture ceremony, March 1 by Mayor T. B. Alexander of Put-in Bay and Mrs. Alexander on behalf of the Daughters of Union Veterans, Toledo.Mrs, Alexander is the daughter ofthe late John Brown jr, who for years until his death in 1920 lived on the island.R. E. Hurst Is scoutmaster and Roy O. Hinch is assistant of the troop.Others who took part in the ceremony were Dr. J. H.
