Oapt. George L. Kilmer, In his aeries of articles, contributes one recounting the experiences of Col. John W. Menace's boys, the 83rd TennsyLvama, volunteers. The Keystone state sacrificed more sons in the late civil war than any other Union state, in proportion to its ej’iota. The 83rd lost in ore men, killed in battle, than any other regiment in the stritep and stands second on the list for the highest losses, in killed, among Union regiments.
