A total of 170 persons, including reserve personnel of the various military branches, National Guard1 and Coast Guard members, and local armed forces personnel on extended active duty were present.Included among the group of civilian conferees enrolled at the well-organized conference were five members of the Louisiana Tech faculty. They were Robert Elioff. Jack Thigpen, Burton Risinger, Paul Hehdcrshot. and Oren '['rout.Air persons who attended a required percentage of lectures, forums,; and discussion periodsby a team of Army, Navy, Marine and Air Force officers from the faculty of the Industrial College of the Armed Forces.
