Captain Billy Baskin (left) and Major Carroll Biggs attended the special two*week course as representatives of the 9972nd Squadron, which is composed of reservists from Ruston, Homer, and Minden.StOiPi\leyMi1Litsinlet'lor\vatin9Two Reservists, Five Tech Professors* ”...\V1.mestcAttend National Resources ConferenceIVKliirCarroll Biggs and Billy Baskin, members of the 9972nd Air Force Reserve Squfidron that is headquartered here on the Louisiana Tech campus, recently completed the National Resources Conference held at Barksdale Air Force Base.The National Resources Conference is presented in 16 cities each yearMajor Biggs and Captain Baskin were two of the 50 Air Force reservists who attended the two-week program. A total of 170 persons, including reserve personnel of the various military branches, National Guard1 and Coast Guard members, and local armed forces personnel on extended active duty were present.Included among the group of civilian conferees enrolled at the well-organized conference were five members of the Louisiana Tech faculty. They were Robert Elioff. Jack Thigpen, Burton Risinger, Paul Hehdcrshot. and Oren '['rout.Air persons who attended a required percentage of lectures, forums,; and discussion periodsby a team of Army, Navy, Marine and Air Force officers from the faculty of the Industrial College of the Armed Forces.
