13 to Leave Tomorrow for Army InductionA group of 13 young men from Saline county will leave tomorrow for final induction into the armed services, the Saline County Selective Service Board announced today.The group will leave b bus at 5:40 a. m. for St. Louis.Those being inducted:William Dee Harrison.Ronald Darwin Wise.Donald David Rude.Clarence Coker.Robert Gene Fort.James Edward Woolard.Charles Hubert McSparin.Carl David Griffiths.Bobby Ray Carpenter.Amer Allen Ewell.Lawrence Eugene Lanton,Robert Harold Oliver.Donald Lee Nelson.The local board announced that on March 15, 25 will leave for pre-induction physicals. On March 20. 15 more will go for physicals, and March 30, one man will leave for final induction.
